“ନୟନ ପଥେ ରଥଯାତ୍ରା – Rath Yatra Through Our Eyes”
Rath Yatra is not just a journey of chariots, but a journey of faith, culture, devotion, and creativity that spans generations and continents. This year, through art, performance, stories, and crafts, we invite our community to explore and express their connection to Mahaprabhu Jagannath and the vibrant traditions of the Rath Yatra. Whether through drawings, dance, art, storytelling, poetry, photography, or videography — let each creation become a chariot carrying the spirit of Jagannath Culture across borders and into our hearts.
Nayanpatha (Path of the Eyes) symbolizes the divine gaze and spiritual connection between Lord Jagannatha and His devotees. This art blends this eternal gaze with the grandeur of Ratha Yatra, the annual Chariot Festival of Puri. The three towering chariots—Nandighosa, Taladhwaja, and Darpadalana—embody movement, celebration, and inclusivity, as the Lord steps out to bless all, beyond temple walls.
This mandala art features the sacred face of Lord Jagannath, intricately surrounded by a circular array of peacock feathers. The peacock motif symbolizes Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the same divine essence as Jagannath. With vibrant dot work and bold contrasts, the artwork beautifully unites devotional imagery with mandala symmetry—inviting viewers into a meditative and spiritual experience.
This mandala art blends the spiritual essence of Lord Jagannath with Odisha’s rich cultural heritage. Inspired by Jhoti Chita patterns, it features the iconic Jagannath Temple, a graceful Odissi dancer, and the Ashoka Chakra—all set against a vibrant sunset. A tribute to devotion, tradition, and the timeless spirit of Odisha.
